1.EAS LABELS

Nowadays Electronic Article    Surveillance, EAS are widely-used in system of retail. It is a kind of electronic anti-theft products to prevent merchandises on open shelves from being stolen and increase sales quantity and profits. EAS is applied to detect and send out alarming signals to missionaries when unpaid merchandises are taken out of the appointed area.
     
EAS are mainly made up of test boards, decode equipments and electronic labels. Electronic labels are classified into hard labels and soft labels. Soft labels with low cost are directly sticked on hard merchandises and can not be re-used; hard labels with higher cost can be used repeatedly. Hard labels must be equiped with special peg-taking tools, mostly used on soft and penetrable products such as clothes. Most decode equipments are non-touching ones and have certain deactivation height.When assistants get cash from customers and pack merchandises,electronic labels can be decoded without touching demagnetization zone.There are also such equipments compounding decode machines and laser barcode scannners together,which makes decode be finished while payment is effected. 2¡¢EAS technique types

In fact, EAS system is danbite radio-frequency recognization system. Because there are only two states, it can only report the existence of merchandises, but can not tell which merchadises they are. At present, there are four main techniques applied in EAS systems, which are separately radio-frequency, electromagnetism, soundmagnetism and radio-frequency recognization.There are great difference between EAS systems with different techniques in  prices,distance for reading, recognization. and reliable performance. Magnetic and radio-frequency products have low price and labels can be sticked on the merchandises or packings nonvolatily; while the price for micro-wave and sound magnetic labels is higher.When the merchandises are sold, the staffs will take the labels off by special tools, so that they can be re-used. Radio Frequency, RF  takes radio wave as signal for  emission and  receiving with inspection frequency scale  6~8 Mhz.The strongest point for radio system lies in its low cost and convenient installation. But because anti-theft labels are  in the state of ring circle, it is easy for systems to be interfered by some items.,such as cashier machines and other electronic products and metal products, thus cause systems to mis-alarm or not to alarm. 
   
Electromagnetic System, ES takes electronic wave as inspection signals. Labels of electronic wave system are small and cheap,and they can repeat cancelling magnetic¡£Because the EAS label is filmy, so it is best product for "source tagging".
 
Acoustic Magneti, AM makes use of the physical theory that  tunning fork can cause sympathetic vibration only when they have the same surging frequency.When the sound system labels set on the merchandises pass through inspection zone,they will produce sympathetic vibriation. But they alarm only after receivers receive constinuous sympathetic vibration signals four times( every 1/50 seconds). but  the thick material make this kind of label not suitable for "source tagging".
 
 
Specifically speaking RFID£¨Radio Frequency Identification) is a term to describe any apparatus which can be picked off through radio frequency.Usually it refers to reading information on a small apparatus(called marks) through radio-frequency. RFID system  is made up of unscrambling machines and antennas.The work theory is  as follows, when labels enter into magnetic field, radio-frequency emitted by receiving inscrambling machines send out product information deposited in chips through  energy got from induction current (Passive Tag or Active Tag which send out signals of some frequency; after the unscrambling machines get information and decode, they will send them to central information system for data-processing.
 

 
3, EAS technique development trend

 Simulation techniques are easily to be interfered by all kinds of electronic magnetic fields. Especially when there is far distance between inspection gates, it will result in much mis-alarm and fail to report because of electronic magnetic field interfere. While digital products have high veracity on signal collection and transaction to avoid much interfere caused by environment and artificial factors and improve the EAS inspection width greatly.
 
But DSP collect and dispose all kinds of signals through softwares. The present DSP products in the market are not perfect because of some unavoidable problems during software designs. So although DSP are the development direction of future EAS, still consumers can not blind worship at present. We believe that DSP techniques will get more perfect with the time going on.. It is possible that we can learn about products types, quantities and stock directly through EAS coding process. This is also the development aim of EAS techniques.
 
With the wide use of EAS system and mature anti-theft conceptions for merchandises that more chain shopkeepers have. Merchandises with labels will become more and more popular with many merchandisers. Merchandises¡¯ label trend indicates that during mass production, electronic labels are put into merchandises or article packing. For shopkeepers, it saves man powers on sticking labels. Electronic labels are hidden in the interlayers of hard paper board or within the merchandise labels( the hidden electronic labels are also called original labels).It is not easy to be found and destroyed and it can prevent  inner theft and outer theft from happening. Meanwhile, open sells of merchandises make supplying capacity of merchandises improve obviously. And it can avoid the original illuminating characters of being covered by electronic labels, and maintain the integrality of original packing patterns and merchandise information. Although original labels cause cost increase of merchandises, but at the same time it increases marketing competition trend of products because products have the personality of anti-theft labels.
  
Safety- defending industry has been advocating flexible combination of technique-defending and man-defending. It is not an exception for EAS mainly used in the field of business. At present EAS can not overcome the problems of mis-alarm and failure to report. What retailing industry are facing are shopping customers. When systems alarm, disposal becomes more important and sensitive. As suppliers of EAS, we should explain to customers about possible suddenness during the use training to customers to make shopkeepers clear about the matter.

As shopkeepers, they should further improve the diathesis training of staffs and try to deal with all kinds of alarm humanistically, reducing soulful hurt to customers caused by mis-alarm. As customers, it is necessary to understand the localization of science and technology and cooperate with shopkeepers for their inspection to reduce unnecessary dissension and trouble.
 
 
5, Work theory of radio-frequency anti-theft labels
 
R F(radio Frequency) system utilizes centre frequency of 8.2MHz and modulating wave of about 1MHz to form a stable electronic magnetic between transmitter and receivers and sets them at the entrance of marketplaces. But because the anti-theft labels are ring winding style, systems are easy to be interfered by some products, such as cashier machines and other electronic products and metal products, which causes mis-alarm or non-alarm of the systems.
 
 
Radio systems have two kinds of labels: soft labels and hard labels. They can protect most merchandise in marketplaces. Labels are made up of inductance and capacitance and form resonance loop, the frequency is 8.2MHz. Labels are sticked on protected merchandises. When merchandises are stolen, labels  and merchandises enter into above-mentioned electronicmagnetic field, resonance loop¡¯s electronic loops induce electronic wave and produce sympathetic vibration, which makes instant change appear in electronic magnetic field( it is decided according to sweeping frequency, about 0.25-0.5ms).This change is inspected by receiver and alarm. Due to high frequency and work efficiency, the needed emission power is small, the antennas inspection machines can be made tenuous and ingenious. Modulation and demodulation make system have excellent applicability, and make it suitable for both soft labels and hard labels and have low mis-alarm rate.through location discrimination, taking account of impulse etc.high science and technology techniques.
 
 
The biggest advantage of wireless system is its low cost and easy-installation. The distance between two branch seats is not more than 1.2 m. Usually it is used in the marketplaces with only one entrance. Wireless systems are classified into standing style and passage style, and they are used to protect general merchandise shops, clothes shops and supermarkets and so on.
